Charles Stanley Fallows was born on the 3rd September 1898 and lived at number 1 Little Hannah Street, Salford. He married Nora Seal in the December 1919 quarter in Eccles and they had three children. They lived at number 50 Athol Street in Winton. Later they moved to number 146 New Lane, Peel Green looking after Nora's now widowed and poorly Mother, Elizabeth.
Stanley, as he was preferred to be known, worked until retirement in a soap manufacturing company called Garth and Browns on Worsley Road, Winton. He was an avid supporter of Manchester United football club and was almost going to Munich the year that the team plane crashed and it saddened him for the rest of his life and on every anniversary of the crash he always paid tribute to the people that lost their lives.
He was also a keen crown green bowler and spent many happy hours at the Eccles British Legion where he played in many matches and won a number of trophies, and eventually becoming the greensman there when he retired.
Stanley died on the 3rd of March 1988 aged 90 at the Beechfields elderly persons home in Irlam.
